LOAF FOR A FRIEND
At Ojai Rôtie, good bread has always been about community. That’s why we created Loaf for a Friend, a simple way to share a little of what we bake with a neighbor who needs it. Add a loaf to your order, in the restaurant or through Toast, and it goes directly to HELP of Ojai.
About HELP of Ojai
HELP of Ojai has spent over five decades fulfilling the basic unmet needs of vulnerable Ojai residents, prioritizing senior citizens, low-income families with children, and unhoused individuals. They do extraordinary work right here in our valley through two programs especially close to our hearts.
Their food pantry, part of the Community Assistance Program, distributes fresh food from their Montgomery Street location two days a week, along with nonperishable food boxes for registered clients throughout the Ojai Valley.
Their Senior Nutrition Program is something truly special. For over 30 years, HELP of Ojai has delivered healthy meals to housebound people who can’t shop or cook because of age, infirmity, or recuperation from hospitalization, providing nourishment and the ability to remain at home. The program has been honored with an Aging Achievement Award by the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging.
How it works
Add a 1lb or 2lb sourdough boule to your order, in the restaurant or through our online ordering, and we handle the rest. Every loaf goes directly to HELP of Ojai.
It’s one of the easiest things you can do. Everyone deserves good bread.
